Sea Kayak Symposium 2006 - First annual Texas Gulf Coast Sea Kayak
Symposium, March 31 through April 2 at San Luis Pass, Texas. The symposium
will feature British Canoe Union (BCU) trainings and assessments, paddling
clinics, boat demos and much more. Instructors include Nigel Dennis, Dale
Williams, Kelly Blades, Larry Koenig, Mimi Clifton, Carla Jennings and Mark
White. Saturday evening will feature a presentation by Nigel Dennis about his
recent circumnavigation of South Georgia Island. Limited number of boats

Southwestern Canoe Rendezvous - The biggest boat
gathering in the Southwest with clinics, workshops, speakers, loads of canoes
& kayaks on hand for you to test-paddle meets each year in the fall.
Here's the scoop...
- Texas Water Safari - World's Toughest Boat Race
- A 260-mile canoe/kayak race braving mosquitos, fire ants,
alligators, water moccasins, occasional storms, starting at San Marcos and
ending in the Gulf of Mexico at the town of Sea Drift. Held the last part of
spring since 1963
