Hello, and welcome to GASP!, the web site for the Gulf Area Sea Paddlers. GASP! began as a listserve dedicated to the discussion of sea paddling (particularly sea kayaking) in the entire Gulf of Mexico area, from Texas to Florida and points farther south including the Caribbean, and also covering coastal surfing. Discussion includes trip reports, destinations, wildlife and marine mammals, touring, kayak camping, instruction, safety, equipment, paddling techniques, navigation, conservation issues and wildlife preserves along the coast, points of interest, sea kayak symposiums, competition, weather conditions, and any non-commercial related items for sale by individuals. Information on clubs located in this area such as trips scheduled, events, trip reports, contact information, etc., are welcome on the list and will soon be included on the GASP! web pages. If there is something you would particularly like to see included in the GASP! web page, or you would like to make suggestions or comments, please send them to me. I can be reached at paddlewise.net by sending a message addressed to jackie such as johndoe@paddlewise.net but substitute johndoe with jackie.
